Car
W203 C Class amg sport edition
Just recently sold my first car "renault clio" a few months back. I have been driving for almost 3 years now and did not want to be your typical 19 year old thrashing a little hot hatch back around and just generally giving of the whole young hooligan image (which im far from!) So I saved up every penny I could for a mercedes as I have always had a soft side for them :D
Being 19 obviously I could not afford the big engined merc's such as the c32 C55 etc due to insurance :(
However I was determined to find a good looking one with a reasonable engine Low mialage 47k so I managed to get myself a W203 AMG sport edition 1.8 merc.
I am on a few local forums for the north east of scotland but thought it was time to join up to a genuine mercedes forum.
Being young I could not help myself but to do a few little mods here and there nothing tacky or boy racerish though !
Wind deflectors , Hid projector headlights - upgrade from the standard halogen bulbs and also plasti dipped the front grill in matte black. hope to have the rear windows tinted slightly and get the wheels refurbed at some point ! along with carbon front splitter and maybe a rear carbon diffuser.

Im really eager to learn more about cars and mercedes in particular, I am not the most experienced however I am extremely excited to learn new things and hope this forum can help with that !

Here are a few pictures of the car as she looks at the present, hope you all like! :thumb:

Hello and welcome. A nice set of wheels you've found there and I hope it gives you lots of pleasure. A refreshing choice for a young motorist these days......and a sensible one of course!! A refined ride, don't pimp it too much, there's no need.

I've removed the image of the interior, as it was copyright of autotrader.

Welcome aboard, Jordan.

A very nice second car.

Modifications..

The roof-mounted Hydrangea and whellbarrow look out of place. :D

Hello Jordan, welcome to the forum. Lovely car you have there. Best colour for a w203 imo! What local forums are there up here?

Ah sorry! It was the actual interior of mine from autotrader before i purchased it so thought it would be ok but not to worry!

Thank you! I do love the colour, after a good polish it comes out brilliantly. Where about in Aberdeen are you from? Jealous of your c55 what a lovely car! Well it's called tsg ( track and street Grampian) however it has a lot of youngsters such as myself on it however there is a few merc owners on it one a bit older than me with a c32 wagon it's lovely! You should have a look on it! Although it's not for everyone , a lot of the crowd on it are the beach "cruisers" but shows what events are upcoming there is a huge meet on the 4th of august coming up and all sorts turned up last time mercs jags bmw's ferrari's etc and then ofcourse all hot hatchs too but it's always good to see a lot of variety! I'm from Aboyne so about a 30 min drive from town

Your car looks good in pretty standard form, so I would be careful about "adjusting it's looks" too much.
Subtle and sympathetic mods generally work best.

Being a 55 plated car means it is the face-lifted version so has all the annoying build quality problems sorted, better dash and most importantly, is galvanised.

Your headlamps look like the normal halogen lighting units, but "upgraded" with HID burners...

Yeah I don't plan on changing the appearance any more as it's a stunning car as it is IMO , no I have the halogen lights in currently but I have a hid conversion kit that was in but as I was unaware I needed projector headlights to go with these otherwise it is far to bright/dazzling which I soon realised so the projector headlights shall be getting ordered soon!

You will also need headlamp washers and self levelling.

If thinking about Depo brand lights...think again.

The halogen lights on your car are pretty effective anyway, so why bother, especially as in rain and fog, halogen gives more usable light than Xenon, due to less back reflection.

Very nice car Jordan. I know the North East of Scotland well as I have a few friends who due to the oil and gas industry who now live up there.

Nice choice of car and with winter only four months away, you'll learn about RWD handling and oversteer very very quickly living up there.

Your second pic, the view seems familiar, where did you take the photo?

Isn't that where you had a picture of your push-bike parked next to some blokes black W211...

Plenty of bikes up there, I had one, but it was stolen by an Aberdonian....
