Welcome to the forum Jordan. Have the insurance company stung you like they do most young uns

They have but not as bad as it would be for me with a smaller engined hatchback so im fairly happy with insurance to be honest considering other prices I have been hearing of which my friends are paying for 1.0 vw's which is almost double the price im paying !

I have always wanted to live in cults just due to the fact its that little bit more close to town!

yeah give me a toot or wave me down if you see me about! i look about 10 so it wont be hard to notice me driving haha. I would LOVE to own a c55 ... one day when insurance accepts me slightly more maybe... What you planning for a next car after you sell the c55 ?

Great looking car, got my first Merc when I was 17 (now 22). They are great cars.

I don't know how much your insurance is but at 19 when I tried to insure a 318 (1.6) 1979/V BMW in 1995 - they wanted a £1500 or something ridiculous.

Suffice to say, I didn't and bought a cheap MK4 Escort 1.6GL instead.

:D

Lets just say its more than that much to my delight ... insurance is mad for young drivers but I can see why expessialy living where I am. It Has the highest death rate from driving in the whole uk according to a local police officer in the area. I was looking at 318's before i got this merc but test drove a few mercedes c class's and my mind was quickly changed :thumb:

So recently I have been trying to get more into car detailing and get a better finish when cleaning the car. Spent a bit recently on some cleaning equipment. lots of microfibre cloths, autoglym super resin polish , dodo juice (works amazing) , auto glym body shampoo etc lots of cleaning products basically! however recently bought one of my favourite toys, a snow foam lance kit.

Im sure there are a few of you on here who have them but if not then its basically a kit that clips onto the end of your powerwasher with a 1L bottle attatched and you can buy the snow foam itself on ebay etc. i purchased a 5L bottle and is a great pre washer that rinses of all dirt/bugs etc before rinsing the car of then using the 2 bucket method. here is a video of the same set up i have.

Why? Doesn't it just mean the car was cheap, or you have lots of money?:dk:

Well either way its impressive as insuring a mercedes at 17 years old is not exactly cheap if the car is cheap or not is only half of it. running costs / insurance etc is the hard part hence why most 17 year olds get 1.2's as they are cheap to run and normally all they can afford such as myself.
