Newbie help - CLS 55 IWC to be sold - How many are there? Unsure what it's worth...

You're 100% right that I'm a car nut... and I'm a little embarrassed that I've only just joined the forum, especially as I've had a W124 wagon and a W116 450 SEL in the not too distant past.

Would be really interested to know more about the £17k car Bobby Dazzler saw. Certainly wasn't ignoring the advice, but that car could have been an 8-owner shabby 100,000 mile example for all I know. If it was a similar car then I will absolutely not be expecting £20k for mine! I just find it hard to believe that the IWC is worth no more than a standard CLS55... I would expect to pay £17k for a really nice one of those.

A few months back when i was hunting for my car i saw an iwc cls 55 AMG for sale with 30,000 k on it. With the watch, the price was 18,995, however the colour was not for me, so I did not go for it. There is not much difference between the standard cls55 AMG and the iwc from what I could see. However the cls 55 AMG is a lovely bit of kit.....so why sell your one???

It's nothing personal Ashley, I can tell from your blogs etc that you're a car nut which is ultimately what brings most of us to a forum, but I think if you'd been a little more upfront then it wouldn't have looked so underhand.


Putting to one side that you are a car trader, Bobby Dazzler has posted that he saw a very similar vehicle up for sale for £17k (with no mention of the watch), yet you choose to ignore that advice and say that it's worth £20k; this would lead most people to think that you know what you value it at already...
