Nice looking W124 coupe

Bit late in the day to post but seller states loom & head gasket have been sorted.

I've never understood though why so many of the W124s had the "two tone" body work, something I've always disliked.

Looks tidy enough. No mention of service history and documentation though? The two tone body v trim issue was because Mercedes at that time had not yet perfected the colouring process for the lower trim panels. Sometimes if you can't get an accurate match its better to go for a contrast. To be honest I'm so habituated to it on older Mercs they look odd without it to my eyes.

Have they got variable valve timing?

No A/C, which is unusual.

They only had variable timing on the inlet cam. Not as advanced as today's engines.
