All sport is over rated as are the "heroes" We need a bit more perspective on the whole thing. The Olympics is being treated like the second coming.
Religion used to be the anaesthetic of the masses, now it's sport.
So what if someone can throw something further than someone else or run faster, jump higher, etc.
It's their job for God's sake. It's all they do, all day - every day, they should be good at it.
Lord Coe, Dame Kelly Holmes, Sir Rowsabit Redgrave, Sir Cycles Roundandround, et al. Not a bad bit of bunce for just doing a job.
Why not get these folk to "give a little back" and put their hands in their pockets to fund the shortfall.
I await the indoor pro-celebrity hopscotch finals with bated breath.
