Hi, Can anybody tell me what the problem could be with my C250Td. I bought the car ± 4 Years ago and the it did not run at all, though the engine then was just overhauled it would not start. After many man hours I decided to fit a Dastek chip as my diagnoses was that the engine is not getting fuel. Before the engine got overhauled the vehicle lost power over a period of time to the extent that it did not want to pull on a slight up hill from pull off at all. The previous customer then got told the engine is shot which was a bull story. He then brought the vehicle to me since the previous mech could not get the engine running and that's were I got into the story and ended up buying the vehicle from the previous owner because I battled for 6 months after stripping the engine down 3 times and did all the basics over and over to get the problem sorted. To save face I bought the vehicle and eventually fitted the chip. By doing that I could adjust the fuel and got the engine running. I has been driving like that ever since but the throttle response is horrible. You have to keep the throttle at a certain spot plus minus half throttle to get the engine to rev up and to be able to drive the car. As you give more throttle the engine just dies
