The fuel pump is very noisy on my 1991 300sl, i have replaced the fuel filter hoping that may have been causing the pump to strain but this has not solved the problem.
I listened as close as i could to the pump and am guessing it was the lower pump that was the noisy one, is there a way of flushing it or do i need to replace it?
By the way why are there 2 fuel pumps and what causes a pump to become noisy? Is it a precursor to the pump failing?
