Hello,
I have a 2004 w211 with command aps including a Nokia 6310i in Carole. All worked fine until few days ago when pulled the phone out for some reason and put it back, the com and displayed, phone not available.
Anyone had such problem and I really appreciate your help before going to Mercedes dealer.
Many thanks

Has Carole been reading 50 shades of Grey?
I suggest you remove the phone from Carole (I'm thinking of this right now), clean the gold connectors and re-insert gently, but firmly into the phone cradle.
If this doesn't work, remove the cradle itself (two lugs at the top) Note: DO NOT INSERT INTO CAROLE!! and refit.

The connectors on those cradles can be a bit iffy at times.

I hope Carole is recovering well. Was the phone set to vibrate?

many thanks for your prompt message. Just to make sure, what Carole means please, I am not familiar with this, may you meant the connection point. Is this right.
To answer your question, the phone is not on vibration. All what I had made while the phone was off the cradle, I activated the Bluetooth and then deactivated it.

^ LOL, made me chuckle...a case of predictive text gone wrong again it seems ;)

sorry I am not sure to understand your post, may be my English is not that much equivalent to yours....

Samali, due to predictive text your post came out humorously and I took the opportunity to give a funny but correct answer.

Using a pencil eraser clean the gold contacts on the bottom of the phone and try putting it back in the cradle. If that doesn't work remove and reinsert the cradle.
The connectors on these are well known for making poor contact at times.

very clear, and thanks again...

^ That's ok, no problem ;)

I once had some funny looks when I told some French people that a beer had no 'preservatives' in it...you can imagine how that made them laugh, can't you? ;)
