The museum is officially open at 10am. I’m hoping to be there just before to make sure the gate attendant has the attendees list. On arrival please say you are with “The Mercedes Car Club” and give them your number and name on the list. This will get you the reduced club admission rate. Unless things have changed we will be parking in a cordoned off area at the end of Car Park C. We will use one side The Tameside Classic Car Club who will have 9 cars will park opposite us on the other side.

The plan will be to leave Eden Camp at 1.30pm which allowing for weekend traffic should get us to the Lion Inn around 2.45pm , our meals are booked for 3pm. Please make sure you have enough fuel for the afternoon drive , around 90 miles if you are coming back via Eden Camp.

The weather forecast is currently looking dry for Sunday so fingers crossed. Looking forward to meeting everyone

Andy :)

Where the hell is all this global warming, I've been doing a bit gardening and it's bitter up here, still one week to Eden eh?
Oh, yes my mate Phil has a Mk 1 Ford Focus RS, he's still trying to wrangle time off duty to attend but is hopeful of at least getting to Eden Camp.
Safe journey all and thank you for organising another event Andy

Not looking fantastic (at the moment) but at least it’s looking dry all week and on Sunday , will keep everyone posted . At least it will be an opportunity for those folk with MB and AMG Jackets to get them out :)

I still have my BMW leather jacket -- will that be ok in the absence of an AMG / MB jacket :).

Hi Folks

Sunday is rapidly approaching. For those coming on the drive out to The Lion Inn the route is pretty straight forward with no nasty junctions to negotiate. We will have someone at the back to make sure no one gets lost, I think Shaun (Spintman) offered to be our “Tail Gunner” on this run :D

If you prefer to actually know where you are going other than relying on Sat Nav the route is above with instructions below.

1. From Eden Camp turn Left onto A169 for Pickering

2. At roundabout in Pickering take 2nd Exit for A169 to Whitby

3. A169 over the North Yorkshire Moors , passing RAF Fylingdales on your right, droping down “Blue Bank” (very steep) through Sleights climbing back up to the roundabout with the A171

4. At the roundabout take the first exit for the A171 towards Guisbrough

5. After passing Scaling Dam on your left turn left off the A171 towards Danby

6. Drive through Danby towards Castletown

7. Drive through Castleton climbing onto the NY Moors until we reach the Lion Inn which is on the right hand side of the road.

We will be keeping it legal folks as the local constabulary Speed Camera Team seam to like the area:(

Looking forward to meeting old and new friends , hope everyone has a great day out :thumb:

Meant to say green A45s will be at the front :D

Not long now, looking forward to it.

I'm staying over nr York on the Saturday nite before the meet up . I don't know people's locations and geography isn't my best point, but if anyone is near there and fancied popping over to say hello that would be lovely. @Graveworm is staying over too. Either post on here or PM me, thanks

Excited....

... I won't be in the SLK.

All being well, something new to me. Otherwise it's the E220d or the Fiat 500
