Not a Bad Deal (if you can afford it!)

We posted at the same time. They'll be lucky to get that price. My local dealer is offering £5k off brand new ones. Lovely when Mercedes undermine values for their own customers eh?

Barge and pole come to mind.

No one in their right mind would buy an R class! Total Numbnut if they do.

Its a complete DOG! Not to mention thats the old model now , so bye bye money ..

But do you like them?

LMAO a customer bought one of these with a silly amount of reg bonus even though we all advised against it and the customer wanted out after a few months. I think its the most negative equity I've ever seen in a car, no thanks!

On the plus side, they continue to tumble used, so will become quite a bargain once they stabilise.

Read somewhere that the lower spec versions of the revised R class will come in a 2WD form as standard rather than the existing 4-matic in order to help slim down the hefty price.

So need to sure you are comparing like with like but there are some heavy reductions on offer

Yup, 2wd, 280cdi entry level, and finally a 7th seat.

(small facelift also)

 Someone mention an S-class estate :D

I was very interested in getting an R-class........ Until I saw one.

Thank but no thanks.

The looks have a strong family resemblance to the new CL, the B class and the new C class Sport. Not like the gorgeous Bruno Sacco designs we've been used to, but they have got something. They do seem to divide people into Yes and No camps whereas who can look at an E, or a C or a CLK or the old CL and not say that is a real beauty. (I left out the 220 series!)

The R has great presence and I think as a large estate -instead of the ill conceived layout it now has- it could be a lot more successful. Have to wait and see.

can you just give your money to me rather than waste it on an R class?

Would make more sense:D

It is all a question of taste isn't it. You like BMW's. I find them unattractive. Some like the R class. Freedom of choice.
