Possibly, but aren't registration resellers licenced by the DVLA, so being naughty could cause issues.

Trading Standards are normally useless... they will provide advice but dont expect them to do a lot more.

Well, they knew nothing about the name Talbir until they got my V5....the V5 was for the black 500E, so that was a dumb move on my part. Should have got a friend to retain it !

Initiative maybe, but nontheless, what a cheek ! The lies on the phone about the time it was taking them etc and excuses...stinks !

Yes, i have made an offer for 1,495. That's the money they took from me and kept deposited in their accounts for several months.

I ain't paying a penny more and neither will anyone else me thinks....not many people with the name Talbir and then they'd have to be keen on number plates as well, then be keen enough to spend 11k....not happening anytime soon me thinks !

Theres nothing you can do but wish they hadn't been straight with you and not kept your money for such a unecessarily long period of time.

You want to buy an absolutely meaningless number for £50 and offer it to them for sale for £6,500, and then get a friend to enquire about it quoting his obscure name that matches the number. I guess they do back to back purchase/sales but maybe two seperate enquiries would get them to bite.

You could then buy your plate at their asking price.

Im going to offer £50, i think it would really give them something to think about if everyone was to offer the same amount.
