Oil Level Check

When I do an oil level check, the cluster goes through the routine and then says Perf. Service on Time. The owners manual does not cover this message.

Should this have been reset at the last service. Next service 'A' is due in 6800 miles.

If you have had the engine running then you need to leave it for a while before it can check the oil level for you.

Unless I am mistaken, ideally the oil needs to be checked first thing before you start the car.

The handbook isn't very specific about the oil level check. Mine only seems to work with the car level, ignition on, engine not running and cold.
