How on earth do you commute around London?
I'm not knocking the place as I was born there, but I had the most horrendous trip today involving the M27/M3/M25 to get to Enfield N London. Doing it in pouring rain didn't help.
The M25 is an absolute nightmare and to describe it as the UK's biggest car park is not far off the mark.
What should have been a 2.5 hr trip ended up just over 4 hrs, and the same coming back. My eyes are popping out of my head from concentrating in spray and heavy traffic.
But getting around Enfield, especially when my Sat Nav decided to play games wasn't fun. On leaving at 5 10pm, I drove 2miles in just under an hour!
. Just total gridlock that got me wondering, do you leave the car at home and use the tube/bus? It would be my worst nightmare to have to commute or even drive for pleasure in London now. Hats off to London residents, I don't know how you stick the place. If I didn't work there, my house would be on the market and I'd be gone.
