I used alot of time and elbow grease. I once had a one time small business back in the early noughties valeting high end sports cars, I've spent years preparing cars for the show ring. Don't do any of that beauty pagent stuff anymore I just do it on our cars for the love of it - and for preservation of them.
The engine bays on these are almost completely sealed from the outside therefore they stay clean for longer. This one I don't think had ever been cleaned and 13 years of stuff had just accumulated. :)

I remember posting on here asking for advice on the CLK when we were considering one. We knew what we wanted but still the advice that alot of you gave was brilliant and you're looking at the result. We're very grateful for that. :)

They are rather underrated imho. The design is one of MB’s most elegant. I love them. I hope you will enjoy it for many years. I’ve had mine nearly four years and it’s about to undergo some cosmetic fettling to get it back to 100%. Bonnet respray in the new year plus a wheel refurb will bring it back to nearly new! Be great if you could bring it to Benz on the Green, although appreciate it is a trek from Scotland!

Nice to So many fans of this most elegant of Designs.
Where's benz on. The green take place?

Been at with Mrs Edd1968's car today. I don't think the ceramic coating comes out very well on camera but believe me, its got such a deep lustre now. Happy days.

Can you link to the mb pool lights?! Ta!

... Well I've not long arrived home from another 550 mile trip back up the road with my new toy.
I loved Mrs Edd1968's CLK 320 so much that I just had to have one also.
So in the space of one and a half months we've both gone from twin lovely A210 Evolutions to 2 even better CLK320s. His and hers!!
And its cost is £700 combined to change. Ok its my time and a bit of fuel but my insurance is less and the tax is £10 more per annum!
Very happy. IMG_20190113_173328.jpg IMG_20190113_173310.jpg IMG_20190113_173348.jpg IMG_20190113_173406.jpg

They look really good , my wife is asking me why I didn't buy one instead of the Evolution

...Tell her because there are 83 of those particular Evolutions left registered in the UK which makes them surely a future classic!! ;) ;)

Lovely couple of CLK's , agreed that shape is indeed elegant and underrated:thumb:

I will miss it! Glad it’s gone to a great home ;)

She has already suggested I keep it as a classic and find a nice dry storage unit in a friends farm and use it in good weather and then buy a comfy 6 cylinder cruiser with an auto box.
Told her to give me at least enough time to get used to my new acquisition

Only trouble is Gav, she's nicked my new 15mm spacers for the rears on her CLK, I clearly need them on the back of mine.
