... Well I've not long arrived home from another 550 mile trip back up the road with my new toy.
I loved Mrs Edd1968's CLK 320 so much that I just had to have one also.
So in the space of one and a half months we've both gone from twin lovely A210 Evolutions to 2 even better CLK320s. His and hers!!
And its cost is £700 combined to change. Ok its my time and a bit of fuel but my insurance is less and the tax is £10 more per annum!

But its not going to be here u til the end of the week so I used good old elbow grease, coupled with 1500, 2000 & 2500 wet&dry followed by farécla G10 finishing compound. Works a treat.

See my post above yours, masked, different grades if wet n dry then polishing compound.

Finished that job yesterday only for my new 3M headlamp restoration kit to arrive in this mornings post!!
Still, engine room now spotless, even if it is teeming down with rain here today.

Still can't get my headlight washers to work yet. The flap isn't stuck closed, the mechanism isn't seized, however I can't hear the pump operating when I press the dash button. I also don't know yet whether the pipes are clogged up with gunk. Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me where the fuse box is that services that component as this is my next process of elimination.

Haha, Chris, I did promise Abs he could have it back if I ever decide to sell it. But I'll keep your suggestion in mind. You certainly would know you'd be getting something well prep'd.
Really enjoying restoring bits on our cars getting to know these fantastic cars.
