2011 CLC 220cdi 2004 CLK 320 cabriolet, R230 SL500, A class Sport AMG now arrived.
Around half the time I am getting a malfunction message telling me that my front n/s front parking light has failed on my W209 CLK ...... When it hasn't !
Its getting a bit annoying ...... Any ideas ? I could remove and replace the bulb and see if that works but that seems illogical

It's worth removing the bulb and popping it back in, might be a dodgy connection. look for dark burning on the contacts also look for white powdery corrosion.

They are also known to bring up the error when the bulb is about to die, in a couple of days it might indeed blow.

Thanks KH but its been going on since the beginning of the year when MB replaced the instrument cluster - coincidence ?

I had a similar issue with my S211 Olly at PCS changed the build when it was in for some other work and the message has not come back for at least a month. Worth changing the bulb to see if it works .

Is it a MB bulb? for some reason my old W203 didn't like non genuine bulbs sometimes they would be ok for a bit and other times they would throw up a error, but MB bulbs would always work fine

Its the bulb that was in it when I bought it 15 months ago so until I take i out I wont know if it is MB but there was no problem for the first 12 months.
