Parktronic retrofit W203

Hi Tubby,
I will be doing the same retrofit as yours soon, could you please give me some advise how to remove the rear side strip, where do you put the wwedge , top of the strip or bottom and how hard to press without damage it.
Please advise

Hi all, I too want to know how to remove the plastic bumper strip properly, without damaging the paintwork or the clips that hold it in place, anyone any advice?

Well my friend, when I asked for help in Jan I did not received much help, but I still managed to removed it.
The tool I used was a small metal measuring ruler about 1 mm thick ,but if you have a wedge , you can use that ,stick protective tape all the way under the strip and over the strip, if you know where the clips are then you can stick the protective tape there.
If you use the metal measuring strip, make sure that the edge that you are going to insert between the strip and the bumper have not sharp edge.

First you have to remove the screws at both end of the strip, under the wheel archers .
Then you insert the wedge starting from one end of the strip toward the centre, if it is the first time that the strip is removed you will have to to push in really hard in the groove starting from the bottom of the strip and push down the wedge from the other end to unclip the streep from the bumper, then you will have to do the same on the groove at the top of the strip.

Take your time and be patient , youl get there

Hope this will help
