AS far as i am aware the SL never had the option of Parktronic but was wondering if it could be fitted. I have seen aftermarket systems but would rather have an MB system, plus the little distance meter looks cool. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I have never seen Parktronic on anything other than very recent S-Class's etc.

Looks like this W202 C has sensors though and I have read it was available - so I expect the SL's had the option too.

Yes parktronic is available on the models, in rough age order :

    140 (only on later models)
    202 (only on later models)
    129 (only on later models)
    210 (available on early models)
    208 (available on early models)
170 (only later models i think)
    168 (all)
163 (only late models i think)
    220 (all)
    215 (all)
    203 (all)
    211 (all)
    209 (all)

I think that gives a fairly good rundown of what it can be available for.

You can also get an after kit (supplied by MB) for a W124 rear ONLY, it does involve cutting the bumper, but has good finishing trims with it too...

What models could you have the telescopic things on that showed you the rear corners of the car?

I am sure i saw something like that on a S-Class.
