Hi,

Has anyone got the Parrot Minikit, or Parrot easydrive kit?

With the minikit, I can't see how it it is powered. Is it normal batteries, or does it come with a charger?

With the easydrive kit, does the keypad have to be installed (i.e. stuck) to the dash?

I'm looking for a kit that I can take from car to car with the minimum of setting up. I don't like the earpiece jobs:( , hence the Parrot questions.

Many Thanks

Richard

Sorry my parrott is wired in-but it is excellent!

Hi - we just bought a clk with a parrot ck3000. Should the sound come out of all the speakers or just one? At present it is just coming from the passenger side front. Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks

You sure theres not another speaker just for the Parrot hidden in the passenger well? Does the radio mute when a call comes in?

the radio does mute when a call comes in, so I assume it is at least partially hooked up to the stereo, but I am concerned that sound only appears to come out of one speaker.

I juts want to make sure before I make a call to the stealership

Hi, a friend of mine had a CK3100 installed in his C240 '03 (W203) and the installer apparently said that he couldn't connect it through all the speakers in the normal way because they were fibre-optic connections from the back of the audio unit to the speakers, so he hard wired it to the drivers door speaker - hence only 1 speaker works when the parrot is enabled.

I bought an easydrive kit and to be honest I think I was a bit suckered - it works absolutely fine but not always mainly because,

1. The speaker/power plug sits in the lighter socket and can come loose quite easily if it is not a tight fit. So in some cars you can be midway through a conversation and the easydrive stops working because it has moved in the socket. Fantastic in my 406 (before it caught fire!), but not in my Polo.

2. The lead from speaker to the mike/keypad is too short for some cars where the lighter socket is too far away from the dash mount for the mike. So OK for the 190E where socket is just under the dash but not for the SL where it is in the centre console.

It really depends which car you are going to use it in, but given that you are supposed to be able to move it around - 5/10. Where as CK3100 - 10/10!

Ive got ck3100 connected to my comand and it comes out of all speakers.

It is literally one plug pulled out then a small loom connected in series in its place.... befre comand it was connected to single cd unit and again it came out of all speakers.
