Priced up a rear screen seal for my 126 yesterday on mercedes-benz-parts to see how much discount I could get with a coupon code, also asked my local dealer if they could price it for me and see if they could do me any discount. For some reason they said they couldnt give me any discount on 126 parts (even though I had got discounts on other 126 parts before), so I went to order it today online and its disappeared, although both Coventry and Oxford (who run the online parts site) said there were 4 seals at the factory available to order?

Anyone ever had similiar problems?

Yes :o Many W201 W124 and W126 parts are out of stock and they don`t make them anymore

thats the thing, they are in stock, just not showing online, so i cant get a discount

Nice one! Im getting email from dealers all over the country, a few are offering more discount than I was going to get in the first place. Why is it that Mercedes Manchester can do it for £100+vat and Mercedes Coventry cant offer me any discount when they are all part of the same group and getting the part from the same place?

managed to get one from Mercedes North Wales, £117+postage, still a lot for a bit of rubber but not bad considering Coventry wanted £138

Use the Russian site to get the part number, then partsreunited to see the best price available - then phone your local MB stealer to see if he'll match or get close to that best price. Mine wouldn't match on the CD changer cable - which I got at about half RRP from MB Oxford - but did on the thermostat!

What is the ""Russian site"" ?

Its a copy of the Mercedes EPC electronic parts catalogue accessible online. Either key in your vehicle's VIN number in the box or simply drill down thro the choices by clicking on europe /cars/model no e.g.126/500sec/windows/rear window pane-----------. lots of posts on this on the forum. I found it works best with Internet Explorer rather than other browsers.
