HI Guys,
I had the pleasure of taking the wife Renault Megane through an MOT today,(its first one). "2005 registered. so abit nerve racking thinking usual renault electrical bugs and build quality on the megane isnt great, I thought It might fail on a few things bearing in mind last three years its not had much work done to it and covered 60,000 miles so I was kind of expecting the worse.

However Came out of the MOT station at 3.30pm smiling, it had passed with flying colours....:D

one minor issue was the headlight bulb wrong way round so light was heading upwards, but that was fixed within minutes by me whilst waiting.

So kinda chuffed with the result, its like being back at school and passing an exam which is rock hard. and then saying PHEW afterwards with sweat rolling down your forehead, once the bell goes.

God am I relieved for another 12 month........

Anybody else get that feeling??????

my apologies, The Wife`s, You know what I mean malcolm, (typing error)

Yes. I had the same feeling when my W203 had its first MOT a few months back. As you say. Nerve racking.

Hmm

Jag is 1959
CRX #1 is 1992
CRX #2 is 1992
CRX #3 is 1991
SL is 1992

Thats over £200 in MOT's every year!

Then there are several friends turbo CRX's that I look after ............

However these days I don't fear an MOT at all, having tested for a few years myself ( a long time ago) I normally give the car concerned a thorough check over the week before.

Try taking over 20 cars through an MOT and all in a month, most of them are my familys, 3 of which are mine! i dont even get a group/bulk discount and it falls on me because i can do the work and i know the guys at the garage and can make sure they test it without adding work!

Not wanting to take the shine off the event but how long was your car being used for with headlamps or bulbs out of alignment?

It's one of the most annoying things on the road and I am amazed that it took an MOT inspection to notice this!

it took one day, as I had only fitted the light night before, I basically put the groove on wrong way round , easily, I know about the annoyance when someones light are dazzling mind you
