Yes folks after months of waiting----- see 3 English blokes get out of their depth with the natives in South America- part 1 TONIGHT beeb 2 8.30pm. Oh and there's some incidental stuff about cars in there too.
And you thought the Darien scheme was bad! ;)

I worry that much of the publicity was there as perhaps the episode isn't as great as it might have been?

We shall see

Pah! I won't be letting those three wallies spoil my memories of a truly fantastic place.

Patagonia Jan 2012.

And this is Ushuaia, the world's most southerly city. Pity they hadn't read the notice before deploying their childish stunt.

Thanks for the heads up, the recorder is set

My recorder is set as well. In spite of the hyped up publicity, this should be worth watching.

Is it just me or has Aunty become tardy and developed the habit of beginning programmes two-three minutes later than advertised, necessitating the recording time to be extended so as not to miss the finale? Virtually all our BBC recordings miss the last section of a programme, something which the independents don't seem to suffer nearly so much with.

Strange: my PVR is just the opposite. It behaves very well for Aunty but can be skittish for the young upstart to the extent of sometimes ignoring the timer for ITV programmes. It must operate from some sort of programme trigger signal because it generally gets the full programme even if it runs late (I admit I am not very savvy on how electronic gadgetry works ).

We are using Virgin Tivo and it is very noticeable that most (by far the majority) of Beeb programmes start late and finish early. It only happens once in a blue moon with all the other channels. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a setting that I am missing.

I'm using Virgin Tivo as well and have noticed BBC to be running a few mins out it the last week or so . . .

It's great to see three wealthy blokes entertaining
them selves at my expense ,what a pile if ****e ..

I watched a bit of it. Stunning scenery but I found myself losing interest towards the end. Just too formulaic to hold my attention.

I enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the next episode.
Childish a lot of the time but still something I would have loved to do.

I just wish they would go back to reviewing cars although they wont due to ratings, stunning place and I thought Jezza's reason on why he likes the 928 was actually quite touching although no doubt some idiot will moan about what he said. Struck a chord with me anyway as I was in a similar situation back in July but didn't manage to make it in time.

Two of the three cars handsome machines, the scenery is stunning, and the weather intriguing. It even makes me smile and occasionally chortle. It's entertainment, and I can't recall seeing anything on tele over Christmas which was so much better that I remembered it. I will be tuning in tonight. If I remember!

Only watched it because of the 928, shouldn't have bothered. Same old, same old...

Recorded it on SKY. Watched the first few minutes. They could have run the same three cars around the Kent Lanes and smashed the same bits off them. Rather sad to see three cars being destroyed just for fun.

I wont watch or record part two as we know what happens.

Indeed. I can only presume many viewers find it entertaining.
