As an early Xmas present to me, I part ex'd my SL350 and picked up my SL55 this afternoon.
I got delayed arranging the swap, so ended up driving home in the dark and rain, not ideal, but fun. - Scary fast, especially in the moist conditions.
Will post pics tomorrow after giving her a good wash.
She's a late, 2007 SL55, so effectively one of the last SL55s, obsidian black with black MRR wheels ( wheels were swapped over from my 350) and fully loaded (I think).
As for mods to come,
- exhaust is likely to be first, as I want to release that gorgeous V8 chorus.
- Thinking of detailing and getting the paintwork as good as possible too, need to check prices / options.
- I've got some mint 5 spoke AMG wheels to fit in the Spring, really want to keep her pretty much stock looking, albeit with tasteful upgrades.
- maybe a few carbon bits
- maybe paint calipers ( not red).
As for others, any suggestions?
She'll be a weekend warrior as have just bought a Lexus for commuting / family duties too.
Can't wait for the morning and can't stop smiling.
