Hi.

ok im buying a Mini.. not for me, but for my sister as a pressie..

Now.. where and who are giving the best deals from what you may have heard in banter from everyone and anyone else who may own one.. or wants one..

im looking for new - so a 59 plate from next week onwards...

any thoughts appreciated!

Like a lot of manufacturers at the moment, they are channelling their efforts into the scrappage scheme, and to a degree ignoring other deals until that runs out. So if you dont have a car to scrap, you may actually get a worse deal for cash!

Im getting rid of the Yaris.. which falls under the scrappage malarcky

green 124... lol.. never!

Which MINI are you looking to buy? How much is the budget?

I just traded in a 5 1/2 year old MINI One D with 75000 miles on the clock for a Cluban Cooper D August 09 plate with 400 miles on the clock. I got £5500 for the trade in and got the Clubman for £3k of list price.

The depreciation has only been about 1p per mile!

hi, where did u get yours from?

so i presume yours was an ex demo?

MINI dealers are generally unwilling to "do a deal" on a brand new car, but some will budge a (very little) bit if pushed really hard. Better deals are to be had on ex-demo's or pre-reg cars if you can find one with the spec you want. As you've probably already found out, there are lots and lots of options on a MINI so take care in what you're getting if you buy off the floor rather than a factory order. There are a few options that massively improve living with the car imo, including:
  • Climate Control
  • Visibility Pack
  • Hi-Fi Upgrade
  • Multi-Function Steering Wheel
  • Bluetooth
Have fun!

Did a search on MINI cherished and it is a really low mileage ex-demo.
