She wouldnt need to. The criminals would most likely walk up to her to try and chat her up!

NO WOMAN is worth going into prison for... Plenty of other better fish in the sea ;) :)

Now THAT I would be interested in if generally available (currently leaning towards a Transporter because of VW's 174 hp 2.5 litre 5 cyl TDI). The armed response units I see in London now are LWB Espaces.

Should be available in general for all Vitos as the new Sprinter has the V6 CDI engine too now...

They had 2 Swedish Porsche's on the M6 in Birmingham a good few years back to test, I remember them wizzing past me at a ton by spagetti junction

There were a couple of Vitos brough in for the Met as demos when I was once there and one of them was a petrol one that all the Staelership staff were going "crazy" about and taking it in turns going up the dual carriage away and pulled it back into to the forecourt going sideways - it was on loan from DC!!! - must be teh one i guess...

Yup, the article above says
The main thrust of Vito 123 sales are expected to come from the specialist blue light sector, so you could be seeing the vans used as armed response vehicles or by the emergency services generally.

I just got the current Vito brochures and price lists though, and this version isn't mentioned anywhere.

I'm sure that some commercial Stealership should be able to sell it to you...

The 5 cylinder CDI Sprinters were mainly for the Emergency servies i.e. Ambulance but were available to the public/private sector too...

R2D2Looks like the Italians have been winning the Police car style battle for years!![/QUOTE said:

"Radio patrol car Mercedes-Benz 180 b 4 cylinder 1,9 litre 68 hp 1959-1961 of the motorized police in (the German town of) Trier ."
The police 190b had a top speed of below 135 km/h (83 mph) and the 220S of below 160 km/h (99 mph). But in the Beetle-era, when a 1958 beetle had a top speed of 112 km/h (69 mph) this was sufficient.

"Interceptor. A martial-armed highway patrol car of the 220S type from Stuttgart Police."
Note the lamp-like case on the front top of the right fender.
In the pre-videotape era it housed an additional tach. When the police followed traffic offenders both cameras mounted in the top middle of the windscreen were released simultaneously, the left one photographing the offense and the right one the outside tach for court-proof documentation of the speed..

Wow! what a job that bloke has, driving that car at whatever speeds he likes next to a woman like that. If it wasnt for his posture in the picture, suggesting he might bat for the other side, i'd say he was pretty lucky!

This bloke doesnt look too happy at his arrest. What are the italian Police up to?
