When out yesterday noticed power steering noisey, Sure enough its leaking from somewhere around the nearside front wheel.

I don't know if they're any good but you can buy additives that claim to stop leaks in power steering. It might keep you going a bit longer while you arrange a repair.

Here's one

Took the car down to my local garage, sure enough main fluid pipe burst, only available from stealer's £58.00,labour £90.00 apparently its a pig of a job, as it goes round the engine and bits have to be removed for fitting. Power steering fluid £20. Total £168.00

   MB UK have don't have one of these pipes instock in the whole of the UK.Expecting one from Germany next tuesday or wednesday.Car stuck in the garage till then.

i dont believe that pirtek or similar hydraulic hose bods cant make a new hose - unless the ends are funny (my brother had a similar problem with a volvo, we just cut the ends off the rubber bit and got pirtek to make a new hose)

Friend of mine worked at a Mitsubishi agent and he told me it was cheaper for them to call in Pirtek to manufacture and fit a power steering hose than it was for the agents to buy it in house!
We use them (or similar) a lot in the marine business and save lots...

Wahey car back and running like a sweetie. :)
