Probright TDRLs

Following!! :)

I expect you'll get a ransom note in a couple of days from the UK deliverer demanding payment of import duties, VAT and something for their effort too.

As I am getting it delivered to a business address, I cannot really hope for anything else

EMS Tracking shows my lights are in the UK, 1 day Russia to UK, I wonder how long it will be before it arrives.

That's impressive, I just checked Lexauto's premises on Google - they are in Novosibirsk, 2000 miles east of Moscow.

my mistake. I put my tracking code into the Royal Mail system and it said "collected". I assumed this meant the foreign leg was complete, but it just meant it had been collected from the sender. Its still in Russia

According to RM, my lights will be arriving today, shame the weather will not permit me to have a play :(

I have them now :) shame about the weather though :(

Fitting is simple enough. Power+Earth. The device auto senses the starting current then switches on the lights. Additional wire that takes its feed from the dipped beams so that the DRL are dimmed with lights on. Then 1 wire for each of the indicator feeds.

Instructions for programming the behavior of the unit are all in Russian but I am getting these translated so will post that here once its done.

Oh, sorry I forgot to add, there were no import duties :)

Mark, thanks for your posts above. Mine are currently in transit between Moscow and the UK. They took 3-4 days to get from Novosibirsk to Moscow.

Could one of you guys post the website address for these DRLS please. I followed the google link but can't find the pop out english help box.

I couldn't see it at first as I use Firefox with NoScript and AdBlock.

When I allowed all scripts on their homepage www.lexauto.ru

a few seconds late a blue rectangle appeared halfway down the page on the right hand side (its position is fixed to your screen display, not the lexauto web page). Depending on the time of day (they are in Novosibirsk, 5 hours ahead of us) it states either 'Talk to us' or 'Leave a message'.

When you click on this, a webchat window, in English, opens.

Hello. I am pretty new to this app.
It rt to post a question and it locks up. But it has allowed me to be able to reply to this post.
Has any one any idea where I could view a fuse chart for 2005 e55 amg.
Thank you.

Cheeers for that.think I have it sorted now.

What with the weather and stuff I have not yet even thought about fitting them to the car but did some testing last night with a PSU in the comfort of my living room.

To program the lights you have to connect the light circuit(blue wire) to 12v then when you press the button on the LED driver box you will see the Amber lights flash. The number of flashes is the option your currently in. If you press the button again it will go to the next option and flash again. Once your at the option you want, press and hold the button then it will flash the White LED's.
The white LEDs indicate the sub options. If you want a different sub option, just program the Amber again and it will then jump to the next sub option when you save it.

In AUTO mode, the lights come on with the battery voltage being greater than 13.8. Once the voltage drops to 13 then the lights go off after 25 seconds.

The lights are very BRIGHT.

Mine have been posted today,so I would think they should be here next week. If they are very bright, that would explain the fairly big finned alloy heat sinks as they will produce pretty high temperatures I reckon. Did you see any fuse protection anywhere ?

Yes, it has an inline fuse, its not that clear but its 2 or 2.*amp the unit should normally consume 1.6 amps so a 2 is cutting it fine if thats what it is.

Keep us posted on the fitting, I have just done the number plate LED upgrade using the German kit off ebay. End result very good, bit of a fiddle with a bit of blood lost but well happy.
