Just finished removing the wood across the dash so i can reveneer in the next few weeks. Still having major probs locating the central locking fault!
Will add chrome speedo rings as the cluster had to be removed to take out the wood. Door panels had to come off to remove the little bit of wood round the seat switch as the wood in the W126 is bolted in from behind the dash and door trim
I wander if it will ever go back together.......

Wow, what a project I would be so scared by the "during" process of it in pieces but tracking the development through the photos is amazing, can't wait to see the "finished" article! :bannana:

The wheels are 17" AMG 3 piece split rims, 8.5J at the front with 245-45-17 tyres and 275-40-17 at the back.
The speedo doesn't need recalibrating as the rolling diameter is the same, +-1.5%.
I want the car mechanically finished by Friday. The trim will be put back in tomorrow minus the wood so i can have it redone.
