Progress Report CLS 55

Nice job, I had to change mine because I couldn't cope with the thickness, ie lack of, and the finger knobbles.

Interesting you went for the leather and alcantara that way around, 'standard' is the exact opposite so it's the alcantara you would normally hold.

Funny I only changed my mind about where to put the alcantara at the 11th hour. I done it this way round for 2 reasons. Firstly alcantara tends not to wear that well and would start looking rough relatively quickly If it were right where my hands are placed. This is also the reason why I went for black as opposed to grey. I find grey even when new looks a little worn and faded. secondly I've seen re upholstered wheels with alcantara on the sides and they don't look as nice as from factory. Not sure why but you can tell they've been done. Anyway time will tell if I've made the right decision or not. I'm sure I'll love it once in.

Hello foz I like the style mate! I will probably follow suit when funds are available! I think you've gone for a good choice and position with the alcantara :)

Nice one Suky. When your ready give these guys a shout. Tbh price wise I found them very reasonable compared to others I spoke to.

Makes perfect sense, certainly looks good.

Thankfully mine still looks like new heading for a year on but I've only done 3k since fitting it so not what you call extreme testing. Do like how it now ties in with the seats and gear selector. Speaking of which, the selector was a bit crusty when i got the car but came up like new after cleaning with a damp cloth.

hello mate it was sorted for a week and then the same message came up in red! It's probably a crap alternator what the warranty company supplied or maybe another underlying problem! I just don't know! Hopefully Andy will sort it out soon:) I'm just getting withdrawal symptoms about not driving my car :(
