Anyone had satisfaction applying protection film to a rear bumper?
How does it look after a while? do they discolour or go matt? Would we be better-off with a pre-shaped self-adhesive plastic / aluminium / stainless trim as generally seen on estates?
Wife has ordered a new golf hatch, but judging by the many small scratches and scuffs on the one she has just had for 3 years...I think some sort of protection required as the bumper is just too vulnerable.
The golf bumper has a tricky double radius 'in the corners' if you know what I mean - I have read about a hairdryer to assist softening. Are there two systems of application? One using adhesive, the other using just dilute washing up liquid and the film adheres like a transfer. How skilled is this job
Any insight from anyone appreciated, I suppose if I have a go and it creases and traps bubbles I can just peel it off, worth a try for less than a tenner?
