PSE Pump (central locking) SL350

Hi all,

I have an SL350 (2004). I think I have a problem with my PSE pump. If I leave the car for more than 24 hour, it will not unlock. If I hit the remote once, leave it for 30 seconds, and hit it again, it works the second time (usually.) If I leave it for more than 48 hours, I have to use the key. Once it opens first time, the remote key works perfectly all day long.
£650 for a new pump is scary & I would like to try re-synching the keys first. Can you please tell me how to do this?

you emailed me about the PSE, but I am not sure about why you are asking me? What was the post you read? Cheers.

I had to change the PSE once, then it needed to be reprogrammed to the car at the stealer.
Yours might just need to be reprogrammed with a star ?
That would be good 50 quids tho, but if it work its better then 650...
If you need a second hand one check with Rob at 3 pointed parts.

Check for water ingress In to the boot where the pump is located. Water leaks play havoc with the PSE pump

As above, very good advice.
I flooded my PSE pump once travelling with a water bottle on the rear seat that leaked...
It played avoc with the turbo boost...
After I dried it it was OK. Pfff...
