I was just playing with my sound system in the car with music thats less than complementry to speakers and found it to be amasing ...

All it needs is a little bass to the standard setup and it would be prefect , i recon ill invest in the bose speakers from the dealer to be honnest ...

I've just picked my car up from Formby Car Electrical Services after having my upgrade </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Kenwood 4 Channel 500 watt Amp(KAC-749S) - £200

I've got a crisp clear sound with a superb bangin bass  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> I'm well pleased with it !!

They've fitted it all in nice and neat/unnoticable, with the Amp fitted under the rear shelf in the boot.
the guy who fitted it said the rear shelf subs just pushed up/out so there was no need to remove the rear seat.(It must of changed on the post 98 model)

The Amp has been set up already, so i'll leave that well alone I think, mainly because I haven't got a clue about them anyway
<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> LOL

Nice One! &nbsp;

For only £433 fitted, I am jealous! &nbsp; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Can you post pics of Kenwood subs? (I know you probably can't see much).

Are they mounted inverted (cone facing into the boot) like the originals or not?

I may get a piar of the Kenwoods and see what they are like off of my Headunit (4x50).

PS. Car looking good in Black!

I've been out and took some pics  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> . The Geocities page builder seems to be down at the mo. When it's back up(I'll keep tryin) I'll upload some pics and just post the link here for you all.
The new Subs have been placed the right way up this time, the pics I've taken, I've taken the grills off so you can see the actual speakers and subs too and under the shelf in the boot.
Here's a link to the actual Subs and Amp I have fitted -  Subs - Amp
I should have them pics uploaded soon with a bit of luck  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

OK Guys here's the pics ya have all been waitin for  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
I've took most pics with the grills off so the speakers can be seen but the grills fit on perfectly so it all looks totally standard.
Couple of Pics of The Car Itself
The Door Speakers
The Subwoofers
The Amp
The CD Changer Which was fitted 5 weeks back, when I first got the car

The pics are a bit awkward to take really, gettin the angles rite, If I get any better ones I'll post them too  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>  But i'm well pleased with it now

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Nice!!!!!

Any problems with amp getting overheated?</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
As I say it's &nbsp;only just been fitted , What do I look out for besides touching it and feeling for heat ?
Would it start to cut out somethin?
Wouldn't it have plenty of &nbsp;surounding air in the boot to keep it cool?

Since you mount the upside down, the heat sink does not work as efficient as before. If it gets over heated, then the amp will shut down by itself.
