I really like all the projects you have going on here, major respect.
I especially like the w111, love it.
Please keeps us all updated with your progress, thanks,

Hi Gav,

Thanks a lot.. it's a fine line between bravery and insanity and I'm not sure which side I'm currently on..

Will keep posting pictures and stuff as I go.. Latest 'engine in' picture below.

Awesome stuff, looks a nice snug fit that, like it was meant to be in there

Just got to fit a radiator, battery and an air box in there and all should be good... Thankfully it does all fit and the new 4 speed switchable auto fits as well, bolts straight up to propshaft.

Swapping out the rear diff for something a little stronger and the rear brakes are going from drum to disc, along with a vented larger front brake.

All in all it should drive a lot nicer.

I’m doing a similar project and since yours is probably done can you help walk me through what it would take to get mine done. I have a 2002 Mercedes CLK 43 and a 1972 Mercedes 450Sl and want to put as much as I can into the 72.

Will be nice to see the progress on this - keep up the good work :)
