Hi all,

The manual shows a different remote to the one that comes with my car.
The key has never worked remotely.

I opened it up and two batteries fell out but not sure how they go back in given the metal strip that sticks out?
I have googled but it's not clear ... Even mercedes pictures are not clear.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks

I would agree but that metal strip is in the way?
If the second battery goes on top then that is pretty unusual?
Also do these keys flash when used?
Thanks

Batteries go in one on top of the other… slide in sideways, both batteries + sign upwards as said above.

Put in new batteries if the haven’t been changed before.
Should look like the video below when the key is view through a digital camera.

Also synchronise the key after you have fitted new batteries.

Brilliant, thanks so much. This has helped no end ... Turns out previous owner had the wrong batteries in there (cr2032)
With CR2025 I am guessing it will all fit nicely. Explains why I was struggling!

Not sure which type is correct for your car, the difference between CR2032 and CR2025 is thickness, CR2032 being thicker, do you have a user manual for that car?

I do have a manual but the images show a different remote with four batteries which is a bit odd.
The 2032 are too fat to fit in which I am hoping is why it was falling apart and not working. Will pick some up first thing and see. Fingers crossed!
