R170 SLK Window Buttons Problem

Hi,

I have a R170 SLK 2001.Ever since I purchased it the Windows close and open seem to be illogical.

My Electric Windows Buttons will only Express DOWN Not UP.

What do you think the problem could be ??

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Could be that the battery has been either disconnected / reconnected at some point or the battery has been replaced and the window(s) have lost their pinchpoint memory.

Try rolling the window all the way down using the 1st indent then roll the window all the way back up again using the 1st indent, when the window reaches the top of its travel don't release the switch, keep it activated for about 5 seconds or so and you might or might not hear a couple of clicks.

The above should have reset the pinchpoint memory, try rolling the windows up and down usuing the second, express, indent and see what happens.
