R230 ABC Light Rear Valve Body or Blocked Valve

Hi,

I recently had the Renntech lowering module fitted, and since then for some reason, I am getting 'ABC visit workshop' on my dash.

I noticed the rear of the car is much lower than the front. I then switched the lowering module to 'off' mode, but the car still sits low on the rear.

I took it to an MB specialist and the error was to do with a Blocked Rear Valve.

He has since, flushed and changed the filter. The light did come on after this process, from white ABC to red ABC. Since the red however, it hasn't shown up all day.

Before we think about replacing the entire valve body (which is a fortune from MB), is there anything anyone can suggest?

Currently there is no ABC warning, but the rear of the car is sitting lower than the front!

Thanks.

You need to take the car to someone who knows about ABC and lowering modules.

Whereabouts are you in the country? I would advise as a first port of call you ring either Olly at PCS, Acid at MSL or Paul at Eurocharged.

Something is clearly wrong and if you carry on using it like that something could go really badly wrong.

You need someone who really knows ABC and lowering modules, I can't stress that enough! Lots of good indys around, but ABC scares many of them off and rightfully so!

If you end up screwing up the ABC big time the bills could be huge so don't cut corners!

Cheers mate. I live in London, not far from Eurocharged.

The module was fitted by MSL and I have been in touch with Acid.

It's puzzling as the car was absolutely fine before the module was installed.

I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

UPDATE: Ok so the weirdest thing has happened. My mechanic did a flush and filter change on the vehicle. AFTER, he drove the vehicle and the 'visit workshop' still appeared in white initially and then in red. Next, the rear of the car completely dropped and was unsafe to drive.

Since the above, there is no more abc error or visit workshop.

The car seems to have sorted itself out?! Everything is now normal! It's as if the red trigger has 'unblocked' or fixed the issue!

How strange but it seems to have done the trick!

I take my car to Terry @ Wayne Gates. Trust me, he is an absolute pro and knows his stuff. I wouldn't go to any other indy in my area! I can't praise the guy enough!
