2005 R230 - Wiring Diagram or Wiring Code for BOSE Amplifier Replacement
Hi,
I am starting a project on my 2005 SL350 (R230) to replace the BOSE Amplifier plus Head Unit where I would like to receive advice from other members (who may have done such a job in the past) concerning wiring in a replacement Amplifier into the existing speakers wires. I will be replacing the OEM BOSE Amp with a JL HD900/5 Amp; however, there seem to be many more wires connecting into the BOSE … exactly which wires do I need to tap into and how do I identify between them?
Basically, my HD900/5 has 10 output terminals: Front Left/Right (2x +/-), Rear Left/Right (2x +/-) and Sub (1x +/-) … 10 output sockets in total.
Does anybody have a cheats-guide or set of fool-proof instructions to guide me through which wires to tap into in the existing loom? I am only interested in tapping into the correct speakers wires because the trigger, positive and earth will all be rewired in heavier gauge where required.
I look forward to any replies with interest and anticipation, many thanks.
