Rare E36 estate (W124) but needs work

I bet if you dropped the shells off the bottom end they would look like they have only done 80k
This assumes it has been serviced regularly!
That would be an ok project at that money

No idea if a good price or not but it could be great :)

Fact its been used, and serviced is a good thing in my book.

If it were £1500 then that could be a great project. I wish I was handy at car stuff as I would be tempted.

I think thats a good price for such a rare car too! Mileage really isnt too much of an issue imo

The bodywork of that car is in such a state I really can't believe the mechanics have been maintained regardless of cost. IMHO it should head for the breaker's yard.

Hmmm...

I've not really got space for the two I own now, but...

There is no way that those refurbished AMG wheels got to that state 2 years after a refurb unless the job was really really crap. It took my wheels 13 years to get to that state! I don't think that the car has been looked after, more like run on a tight budget. The only genuine thing appears to be the mileage, the rest is just waffle. No photograph of the damage to the front bumper provided or interior photographs. Up to £1k as you could easily spend a fortune. I mean, do they still make those bumpers?

^+1
The advert is crap and poorly worded with the usual story about it being his (in this case) father in law.
From the photos it needs 2 new front wings (probably inner and outer) 2 rear wings (and the ad admits there has been corrosion at the rear prior)
The car needs a total respray, the interior looks in poor condition. If the mechanical condition is the same as the rest of the car then god help the new owner.
I dread to think how much this car would cost to bring back into half decent condition and anyone who thinks this is a cost effective value project is on space dust.

Absolutely it could cost up to 10k to get it right.
But to the right buyer it's worth it. That money over 3 years with a lovely car at the end is worth it.
There aren't too many E36 estates floating about fella!!!

Unlike buying a modern car its also the satisfaction of doing it rather and restoring it, I guess some people could get it looking smart for a lot less than others depending on their own skill and labour.

Say it did cost £10K all in, what a cool looking car for a fiesta money.

One thing for sure it would lose hardly anything compare to a fiesta !!!

With a modicum of skill that will be a smart motor...for well less than £10,000.

When I said 10k I was only throwing a figure out there. It may cost a lot less

I thought these were the rarest of the 124's. RHD E36 Estate, they made seven? No?
