Re; smart fortwo roof mounting points

Hello folks..

i need some advice from anyone in the know.

i would like to know what are the mounting points on the roof of the smart?

for a roof rack system, or just how to mount anything to the roof securely fr a short period of time.

my car is a 2010 model, coupe

Easy .These brackets are for when you turn the Smart upside down, attach it to the roofbars of your everyday Merc , and use it as a roofbox

there are plenty of fittings floating around, just looking at user recommendations and ideas..

Best people to advise you would be Thule / tel 01275 340404.They work in conjunction with many car manufacturers , and supply some with "branded" roof systems. If they cannot offer 100% perfect fit , they will not supply.

I would probably be looking at those temporary roof bars and a ratchet strap, but I have no idea how tight you can go without damaging the roof.

Its probably telling that http://www.roofrackshop.co.uk/ only lists the Smart ForFour as roof rack compliant.
