"Real life price of a bottle of wine £4.61". What are people drinking these days, vinegar?

We have a milk lady who comes at 2am with an electric something to deliver it, i'm too lazy to get up and look, but i know its not an old milk float. I think there is only 3 people down the street that use them. Old school give's someone a job. :thumb: Not affected by brexit either. PINTS remember them.

No empty shelves in my local Iceland, M&S, Tesco Metro, 2 little convenience stores or the Turkish/Mediterranean supermarket.
Blimey, you get around with your shopping. I can only vouch for our nearest Tesco - which has occasional things missing, but it always has had.

My first paid job was helping our local milkman. He had no problem with me driving his electric milk float everywhere. I was 10.

Luxury!!! Some of us had to make do with walking and delivering papers...

I posted a thread a while back saying how our local paper shop were unable to find a paper boy / girl / trans for 6 months and ended up with a Eastern European man. Nice man, couldn't speak a word of English and now probably due to Brexit gone back to wherever he came from with his stash of millions. So another 6 months has passed and despite having 3 secondary schools within a 3 mile radius no takers. So we now have a local elderly jogger doing the papers on his jog route ! Go figure :)

^^^^ Same , a few years ago my (very) early morning commute would take me past a corner shop at opening time just as the newspapers were coming off the van. Their 'paper boy' was at least 70 years old. keeping himself fit and earning a bit of pocket change no doubt.

Not sure there is any real demand or the morning paper to be delivered these days.

Everyday for years I bought the Sun and the Mail. I also picked up the Metro and the Standard.
Don’t bother with any of them now.

I really miss a daily delivery too, and they're very good for cleaning windows with as well.

I subscribe to having a newspaper sent to my phone each day, very useful when you want to catch up on what's going on but bloody useless for cleaning windows or lining rabbit hutches

Local Shell, not a motorway. Seems to be the standard. Think I’ll just stay home.
