Reclaiming Tax Disc - Need My Name

I was given the tax disc back on the Bentley and want to reclaim it BUT I sometimes call myself Bernard but mostly David and I cannot remember whats on the reg doc.

Is there an online way to check the Bentleys reg owner name (me )

If you put David Bernard XXXX down of the reclaim I would home they would be able to work it out when comparing it to their records.

But then again this is the DVLA.

Don't think this can be checked online, as it would breach DPA to make owner info available without some kind of qualifying criteria (such as the ID number on the V5C).

Do you have any old tax disc reminder notices for the car knocking about? They would have been addressed to the name on the V5C.

Failing that, you could check with the garage you px'd the car with. They should still have the V5C if the car hasn't been sold yet, and would probably have kept a record of the details anyway.

just call them, they will ask your name, if you say david and they say no, you know what to say 1 min later when you call back!
