That works perfectly. It's digital, pumps quickly and has a screw on connection. Reviews are good too.

I've had mine for about 6 months and have been pretty happy with it. I got it via flubit.com for about £18.50.

Have exactly same one for over a year now.

Easy to set, long set of cables, never failed.
Certainly got thumbs up from me too.

They look identical to the Ring Automotive RAC630 I just bought on the bay. Got good reviews. Cheers guys. Let's see if Daddy can break this one :D

I bought a Michelin-branded digital super-fast super-quiet thingy at Halfords 5 years ago for £30 or £40 and it works just great.

Thats what I've got, although its great i wouldn't say its quiet.

Well, it is quiet-er than the one I had before, which sounded like a Bren machine gun... but yes, it isn't whisper-quiet.

I think that's the one they sell at Costco, periodically on special offer.

I use a cordless compressor (internal 12V battery) called an 'Air Monster' ... had it for year now and still works perfectly. Does high pressure (tyres) but also high volume (airbeds etc.), it obviously has a 12V lead as standby. We use it for the bikes etc. as well - very handy piece of kit.

After reviewing various tyre inflators, and seeing highly variable ratings, I decided to avoid the Ring-made ones, which is a pity as I wanted auto cut off and a digital read out.

In the end I went with a heavy duty German-made one which is superb, although pricier than the Chinese-made ones.

About 50 pounds on Amazon. Solid, dependable, no messing about.

My vote is for the Michelin. I particularly like the screw thread method of connecting.

I picked one up in my local Tesco's for a tenner a couple of weeks ago.

Some good recommendations here guys....have been looking for one of these recently myself

Thanks again for the replies. No doubt my Dad will only use it once a month.
