In my pictures previous the engine and the ECU on the 280 /320 are identical, diesels also being fully forged are very strong motors. The torque on the 320 amounts to a bit more, why, i don`t know but i do know that the map from Celtic does what it says on the tin!
The map is designed for use with the std. components and within their tolerances and i know this to be true as i know the roads around where i live like the back of my hand and when i had the remap the kickdown would not happen where it used to at the same speed in the road at WOT because the remap gives more torque it does not have to change down and get the revs up to give better on the move acceleration.
After knowing this and where i am at with the remap i just drive normally as i did with the std. map except i get much more go at a given throttle opening and more mpg, one learns to compensate until you want full power. At the moment i am getting 5mpg more at 50/60mph constant than i did as std. and 40mpg is what Mercedes says it does as std. so good for them for not exaggerating....Lol
I don`t accept what my indy specialist said about more turbo or injector problems for remappers as i use the motor the same, the actuator on mine has no chance of seizing up due to none use
Forgot to add that Celtic visit where you want to load the new map as it is done as others via a laptop!
I have uploaded this before and this is 0-60 whereas i allowed 6.0 as 0-62....at the moment i have managed 5.7 depends on traction and the road surface.
