that's isn't actually your car so results may change.:thumb:

No mods just a eurocharged remap done by Paul. Don't think it's at the wheels sure it's engine bhp

85 extra ponies, not bad, he did mine last month in Aberdeen, I'd had the secondary cats gutted too, I haven't managed to have it on the dyno as yet but my car feels like a different beast to drive.

Enjoy.

What's the sound like with the cats gutted I'm concerned that I'd lose that awesome sound if I had it done

Not sure where this guy has the microphone for the video, near the exhaust pipes I suspect.

The noise in the car is much the same, a little more when you open the throttle and certainly more induction roar, possibly more the combination of the remap and the cats together.

Paul said the inlet flaps on a C63 were restricted to 80-85% movement on standard cars, but you get the full 100% after remap, that's where the induction roar comes from I'm thinking.

Yeah that sounds awesome are the c63 like other cars where after ever mod u need it remapping ? What's the rough price and gains from cats gutted ?

Why didn't they get the full fat 520 bhp. The restriction is the throttle opening.

Do they charge more for 520 Bhp?

Look at the starting bhp 85bhp gain from start to finish is it possible to get any more out of it put it at stock of 457 and what u got then ?

As I say, mine's not been on the rollers yet so I'm not sure of the gains, the cost is around the £250 mark from Niall Wallace at Originiall Fabrication, H20MRV put me onto him. He's near Edinburgh and has a set of secondarys that he'll gut on an exchange basis.

Mine has just had the one map, it's not been specifically mapped for the cats, you'd have to ask Paul if that was possible.

DM, the figures are wheel horse power, if you convert the 412 WHP to the 457 BHP, it should have as standard, it's a multiplication factor of 1.109.

Therefore if you multiply the after map WHP figure, it's producing somewhere over 550 BHP now.

how did you gained 85bhp from 457 to 498?

The first run I got a figure of 412 not the 457

I'm not 100% I'd need to ask Paul I'm dumb like that was getting to giddy at the sound rather than asking technical questions lol

Ricky until you have your car in the dyno you won't know what your map achieved ...that's only a figure!:thumb:

at the wheels...

It must be at the wheels, you can't measure it anywhere else.

Other forums show about an 11% loss through the transmission so times 412 WHP x 1.11 = BHP (457 as expected)
