remote central locking probs

Hi all,

all working until today. Remote locking stopped, changed batteries for new ones, but have to be really close for remote locking to work now, whereas before i could be 5m away, any ideas why?

Also how do i sync the spare fob?

Just to be sure, did you check if the replacement battery were OK?
Maybe the new one are not too good?

Yes Olivier, new batteries had 3.2v in them, old ones had 0.2v in them!

Try pointing at the sensor on the drivers door handle

Same issue, cannot lock doors or open boot remotely

I was getting a similar problem with my auto tailgate. I found if I held my finger on the button for a second rather than a quick press then it opened. Hold your button just a little longer and see if that makes a difference.

Check fuses for alarm, my w211 had same problem and found that fuse 8 in boot was blowing because the alarm siren was faulty, removed this and replaced fuse and all worked again, now just need to find new siren at reasonable cost.
