How does one remove the telephone holder thingy in the glove box?

I'm sure there's a REALLY simple technique, but I'm terrified of doind some damage!

Sorry, it's a 2003 SL, with the standard telephone connection in the centre console.

I have a Nokia phone cradle which I'd like to remove from the console fitting but don't seem to have the 'knack' and I'm terrified of breaking something expensive!

It slotted in easily enough!

I assume this is a UHI cradle. In which case you simply press down on the release button and pull sharply backward.
