replacing main light bulbs r129

Hey folks. The dipped beams on my kids reg r129 500sl aren't the best and would like to change the bulb. What are recommended for better road visibility and where to buy?
Can they be brought from Halfords?

If it were me I'd go Philips Extreme 100% - they made a huge difference to my old CLK and Boxster PHILIPS EXTREME VISION H4 100% MORE LIGHT CAR HEADLIGHT BULBS (PAIR) | eBay
Not cheap but make a huge difference.

I have been thru the whole light bulb sage and ended up buying all the leading brands from OSRAM Night breakers,Philips Extreme and ended up with about 8 sets of bulbs.The best out of the lot for me is the RING 120+.They seem to be better than all the others,brighter and seem to project the light further

H4 are best with Philips though - still the Extreme is the better bulb.
