Respray the stretched limo

:D Hi Hawk,
A decision has been made and all will be revealed as soon as the result is available.

I just hope the flashing neon lights are not too distractive.

Regards
John

Yes you have to be careful not to be accused of 'flashing':)

So do let us know the final decision:)
Your wish is my COMAND

Your bog standard Mercedes-Benz Sprinter alloys

A BIG, BIG THANK YOU to just about everyone that has offered all the helpful advice which has not only been appreciated, but also enjoyed. Great humour, great fun and an empty bank balance :o and this time MikeL played no party in that final act :D

Regards
John

Those wheels work well, good choice John.

Get some Supagard on them before they get dirty, it will help protect them.

Looking great, nice transformation John.

Knew the alloys would finish it off nicely :bannana:

Looks grand John. All the better for being tinted Silver   :D

Nice one, the rims suit the van like no other. From the pic it looks as if you have universal centre caps with no mercedes badge but i think that must be the picture quality. I also notice you have now got the facelift rear light clusters

John, how are you resizing you jpegs?

Considering the camera you are taking the images with I presume you are resizing. It's just the images are very poor in terms of what I would call (probably incorrectly) pixelation, which shouldn't be necessary.

Not sure if you have a quality setting you can increase or a compression setting you can reduce.

This is NOT a complaint, just rying to assist. If this is how you intended the images that is fine.

Actually a very valid comment. I have noticed this particularly on the shots of the van since it came back from the bodyshop. I assumed John was using a phone to take the pics.

:D :D I'm into Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns-n-Roses, but........ She that does the driving does not appreciate the sides of the vehicle vibrating   Women!

And good musical taste to boot!! Rock on John :bannana: congrats on the transformation.

Talking of Aerosmith, did anyone see Joe Perry, completely out of place backing Jones the welshman on Sunday at the Princess's party?

Yup the picture above is under 50k, great for loading quickly but we'd probably all like a bit less compression and higher quality! :)

I generally aim to keep my pictures to around 100k nowadays.

I thought this too but then thought it odd knowing the camera John uses. The images are coming from the Nikon D200, so I thought I'd mention it.

Keeping images small for posting on the forum is very considerate and I thank those who take this into account but in this case I think the quality could go up a fraction for the trade off in size, if you so wish.

For any forum pics I now set the camera to 640x480. Saves any messing and loss. A good idea as my camera is pants, but I can't be bothered to get a decent one..

Mind you, maybe Johns just using a cheapy for fast action, point and shoot work..didn't have time to set the settings..;)

It's not a cheapy, but it may be the D200 on low res settings. My hunch is that it's not though.

I am a total illiterate when it comes to posting pictures and please feel free to pm me with any advice.

I'll also have a play to see what goes away :o

Your snaps pictures come out very clear but the van ones are pixilated.
presumably you are taking them as full size then reducing them, which is causing pixillation.
