Retro Fit Comand air vent part number

I fitted the comand and now only missing the centre air vent with the switch which closes the monitor.

I have a 2010 c class so would the part numbers be:-

switch A204 870 2851
Vents A204 830 5854 7342????

as dont want to order from Mercedes if wrong

There aren't that many people who know MB's really well anymore in this way. Very few people seem to modd now.

I'm sure someone will be along eventually!

Have you checked the EPC?

LOL whats EPC ?????? The problem is when i ring Mercedes and give them my Reg it don't list the comand as i retro fitted it.When i did ring Merc's they said theres a possablilty or 10 differant parts and they range from £40-£100 +Vat so im not gonna order all of them. There are webites that show me the picture but you are not about to buy the vents on there own you have to buy the fitting kit also. have asked them if i could just have the part number but they don't give out part numbers. So at the moment i'm stuck

You will find that if no one answers you, it will be for 2 reasons:-
1) they dont know
2) the person that does know hasnt read the post
Did you make a note of the comand part number before you fitted it?

Sent an email to Comand-europe and spoke to Mark and he said that he would speak to Richard about giving out part numbers, But as a general rule they don't give them out.

Sorry, but we spend hours working out part numbers (and buying the wrong thing) so we don't give out part numbers

The issue with W204 is there are 3 different colour/trim combinations (model year dependant), that match the COMAND and the switch panel below.

So, you have 2 choices to get it all to match
a) buy the correct colour COMAND and vent pack (so it matches your lower switch pack)
b) If the comand comes with a switch pack with enough switches and the colour / trim doesn't match, but the vents that match the new comand

The 3 different types are MY08/MY09, MY10, MY11. MY10 and MY11 vents cost more than MY08/09
08/09 are black
10/11 are dark grey, one has aluminium trim one has chrome trim can;t remember which way round.

The switch pack has no trim on it, so is either black or dark grey.

So, you need to work out the trim of the COMAND you have purchased first

Richard Thats what i expected why you don't give out the numbers But i belive i have found the part numbers:-

Switch A204 870 2851 (one on ebay starting at £40 but Merc only want £35)

Vents A204 830 5854 7342 (i beleive this will have the chrome trim on it)

The way i got round it was found a car with comand and same colour vents as mine and then told Merc that reg. But trying to buy them 2nd Hand is another matter so gonna go done the new route and Mercs say £96+vat so not too bad
