Hi all,

seeking some advice please if anyone can help. i took my e280cdi sport for a check as it was making a creaking noise on turning. it turned out to be a faulty strut so both front struts replaced under warranty. further than that upper and lower front arms replaced as well for various small noises.
then lately joints between anti roll bar and lower arms also replaced. however, when ive got the car back after changing these joints the gap between the front wheels and arches have increased by about an inch making the car look ugly at the front and not sitting on the 18 inch sport wheels as it should be. any reason for this change. can anyone help.

dealership say they have done nothing to change ride height and that no parts can be adjusted for ride height? the said it may be where the car has been off the ground on the ramp so the wheels have moved inwards and that it should go back to normal after a few hours. ive had the car back 24hrs and driven 150miles but height is still same.

Did you add the 18" wheels or the previous owner?

If the previous owner perhaps they had lowered the suspension, when MB repaced the suspension components they used the VIN spec parts, not what was actually on the car....

the 18" wheels are the originals on the car which come with the sport pack.
i had the same problem with the ride height when they changed shocks so i took it back and they corrected it saying it was over tension in bushes?

the anti roll bar link joints have been changed at a different dealership and the ride height has changed again. i told them about the instance that happened before but they seemed to have ignore that

im thinking of taking it back to the first dealership because they have been through the problem once before??? but its so much time and effort to be taking car back and forth between different dealers
